PRIME RIB MUST SIT ON COUNTER OVERNIGHT AND BE AT ROOM TEMPERATURE.
Preheat oven to:
375* (for medium rare)
400* (for medium)
425* (for well done)
Place prime rib bone down in a roaster uncovered. Season with your favorite season salt, we suggest Wildman’s. Bake uncovered for 1 hour at desired temperature. Shut the oven off. Leave rib in the oven and let sit covered for 1/2 hour per pound. Remove from oven and let sit covered for 20 minutes then slice.
NEVER OPEN THE OVEN DOOR.
*If someone’s slice is too rare, put slice under broiler for 60 seconds.
